Job summary

Angelo State University is seeking a student for the Outdoor Adventure program. The role involves assisting with program areas, applying training to minimize risk, and enforcing policies within the facilities.

You will help with participant access, recruitment for program spaces, and daily operational tasks including opening/closing duties and equipment management, while attending scheduled shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes.
• American Red Cross CPR / AED Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Aid in facilitating all Outdoor Adventure program areas.
• Use training and judgment to reduce risk in programs.
• Enforce UREC and Outdoor Adventure policies per the manual.
• Determine facility and program access eligibility for each patron.
• Advertise and solicit participants to fill spaces.
• Attend all staff meetings and scheduled shifts.
• Facilitate patron check-in/check-out using pre-established processes.
• Perform opening/closing duties (equipment, cleaning, storage).
• Maintain and store Outdoor Adventure equipment (climbing gear, chalk, route setting).
• Other duties as assigned.
