Job summary

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC. in Cranbury, NJ is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead outbound shipping at our centralized distribution center. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and flawless order fulfillment.

You will coach a team of six direct and fifty indirect reports, balance staffing needs, and drive 100% on-time shipments with 99.9% accuracy. This exempt position offers growth within the Sonepar group.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse management experience.
• Strong communication and delegation skills.
• Proven ability to build and mentor a team.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in the operation of powered industrial trucks (PIT).
• Desire to maintain an organized warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate computers and warehouse software.
• Familiarity and adaptability to automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the outbound shipping operations for state of the art Centralized Distribution Center.
• Prioritize the safety and wellness of all employees through training, policy enforcement, and cohesion.
• Promote and adhere to warehouse safety programs to provide employees with a safe and clean workplace.
• Support efforts to recruit and retain warehouse associates for the 2nd and 3rd shift.
• Coach and mentor a team of 6 direct reports and 50 indirect reports to build a strong foundation and create internal growth opportunities.
• Prioritize daily workload and staffing needs to achieve 100% on-time shipment and 99.9% shipment accuracy rate.
• Ensure that staff is appropriately trained in multiple warehouse functions, to assist in balancing staffing needs while fulfilling customer orders.
• Communicate status updates with the wire department and dispatch team.
• Ensure that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform their functions.
• Recommendequipment requirements and replacements to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency.
• Motivate employees to meet productivity goals and efficiency goals.
