Job summary

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC in Cranbury, NJ is seeking a warehouse operations leader. You will manage outbound shipping at a centralized distribution center, uphold safety standards, and recruit/mentor teams across two shifts.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse management experience.
• Strong communication and delegation skills.
• Proven ability to build and mentor a team.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in powered industrial trucks (PIT) operations.
• Organized and positive warehouse environment.
• Operate computers and warehouse software.
• Familiarity with automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage outbound shipping operations for the Centralized Distribution Center.
• Prioritize safety and wellness through training and policy enforcement.
• Promote and adhere to warehouse safety programs for a clean, safe workplace.
• Support recruitment and retention of warehouse associates for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
• Coach and mentor a team of 6 direct and 50 indirect reports.
• Prioritize workload to achieve 100% on-time shipments and 99.9% accuracy.
• Train staff across multiple warehouse functions to balance staffing needs.
• Communicate status updates with wire and dispatch teams.
• Ensure staff have safe, efficient equipment to perform duties.
• Recommend equipment upgrades to maintain productivity.
• Motivate employees to hit productivity and efficiency goals.
