Job summary

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC, part of the Sonepar family, seeks a Warehouse Manager for the Cranbury, NJ Central Distribution Center. You will lead outbound shipping, enforce safety, recruit and mentor a 2nd/3rd shift team, and drive on-time shipments with high accuracy.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse management experience.
• Strong communication and delegation skills.
• Proven ability to build and mentor a team.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to obtain certification in operation of powered industrial trucks (PIT).
• Maintain organized and positive warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate computers and warehouse software.
• Familiarity with automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage outbound shipping operations for the Centralized Distribution Center.
• Prioritize safety and wellness through training, policy enforcement, and team cohesion.
• Promote and adhere to warehouse safety programs for a safe, clean workplace.
• Recruit and retain warehouse associates for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
• Coach and mentor a team of 6 direct and 50 indirect reports.
• Ensure 100% on-time shipment and 99.9% shipment accuracy.
• Train staff in multiple warehouse functions to balance staffing and fulfill orders.
• Communicate status updates with wire and dispatch teams.
• Ensure safe, efficient equipment operation for staff.
• Recommend equipment upgrades to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Motivate employees to meet productivity and efficiency goals.
