Job summary

Arvato is seeking an Outbound Team Lead to oversee the shipping department's day-to-day operations in a fast-paced distribution center. You will supervise warehouse associates, assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure on-time, accurate shipments while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate with Inventory Control, Inbound, Transportation, Quality, and Operations leadership to keep workflows smooth and compliant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years' experience in shipping.
• Shipping experience in a fast-paced distribution center.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of warehouse associates during outbound processes.
• Assign work and monitor productivity to meet daily shipping goals.
• Oversee order picking, packing, staging, and loading of outbound shipments.
• Ensure orders are accurate, complete, and shipped per customer and carrier requirements.
• Monitor labor allocation and adjust staffing based on workload and priorities.
• Coach, train, and develop team members with performance feedback.
• Enforce safety policies, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Investigate and resolve shipping errors, inventory discrepancies, and operations issues.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control, Inbound, Transportation, Quality, and Operations leadership.

Job Description

The Outbound Team Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Shipping department. Including all product initially received through the warehouse and the handling of all paperwork pertaining to that merchandise. Tracks performance and attendance for all personnel assigned to the shipping area. This position is also responsible for safety, organization and cleanliness.

YOUR TASKS

• Leading and supervising a team of warehouse associates during the outbound process.
• Assigning work and monitoring productivity to ensure daily shipping goals are met.
