Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent required.
• Fork Lift Certification preferred.
• 3 years warehouse and distribution operations experience.
• 1 year experience leading warehouse associates.
• Ability to operate a forklift or obtain certification.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control processes.
• Knowledge of electrical, construction or mechanical products.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to coach, develop, and hold associates accountable.
• Strong time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and use business planning systems.
• Resolve problems in a timely manner under stressful situations, prioritizing workload and adjusting resources in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Collaborating with other operational leaders across the facility.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment.
• Ability to anticipate and prepare for customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employee work assignments to meet inbound/outbound service requirements and prioritize workload.
• Direct achievement of performance objectives related to productivity, quality, service and safety.
• Monitor workflow, error rates and related metrics and take corrective action.
• Ensure procedures are observed, implemented, and enforced.
• Confirm quality and inspection processes are accurate and costs are controlled.
• Maintain safe working environment and comply with safety regulations.
• Maintain time, attendance and performance records.
• Foster positive employee relations through floor presence and engagement.
• Recommend performance management actions.
• Assist in developing and documenting warehouse processes.
• Set and monitor performance standards for pick, pack and ship, emphasizing outbound/shipping operations.
• Process returned merchandise.
• Develop and monitor standards for equipment and housekeeping.
• Develop training certification programs for warehouse staff.
