• Provide clear and frequent communication to all teams on policies and procedures.
• Lead weekly and monthly meetings to review metrics and initiatives.
• Analyze opportunities for productivity growth, cost reduction, and process efficiency.

Job Summary

We’re looking for an Outbound Manager who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, lead with heart, and help shape the future of our shipping team. You’ll take the lead during your shift, overseeing picking, packing, and indirect operations with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and delivering a customer experience that truly stands out.

You’ll report to the Outbound Operations Manager and work closely with fellow managers across shifts, along with leaders in Inbound and Inventory Control, to ensure smooth operations and tackle challenges together.

PLEASE NOTE: The 2B Shift will officially begin on November 1, 2026. Candidates who are hired and onboarded may need to rotate through shifts during the training and transition period:

• Training: Shift 1C - Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, for a minimum of 2 weeks.
• Interim Schedule: Shift 2A - Sunday to Wednesday, 7:00 PM–5:30 AM, until the 2B Shift begins.
• Beginning November 1, 2026: Associates assigned to 2B will transition to the 2B Shift schedule.

Operational

• Manage the day-to-day operations within the Outbound department, including Picking, Consolidation, Packing, QA, and other indirect roles. Ensure that the team is consistently focused on achieving a high degree of quality, efficiency, and accuracy to satisfy our customer base.
• Train, coach, develop, and hold accountable up to X employees to achieve operational metrics and satisfy the needs of the distribution center.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for the receiving department; identify and resolve operating issues as needed.
• Provide clear and frequent communication to all teams regarding company policies and procedures.
• Lead weekly and monthly meetings to share information including metrics review, areas of improvement, employee relations issues, and provide updates on any initiatives and related projects.
• Analyze opportunities for improvement including productivity growth, cost reduction, damage mitigation, and increased process efficiency.

People

• Ensure the timely completion of all employee performance reviews and provide frequent and constructive feedback to all team members in accordance with the Great Employees Only philosophy.
• Interact with employees regularly to promote a high level of engagement and ensure all safety regulations are followed.
• Promptly complete all admin duties relating to employee management to the expected standard.

Leadership

• Collaborate with the leadership team within the building to meet the needs of the DC and foster a team mentality.
• Create development plans for employees to generate engagement and a leadership bench, with a focus on Team Leaders.
