Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a FT Outbound Freight Handler in Dallas, TX. You will load and unload freight, inspect trailers, and ensure safe handling using forklifts and other equipment.

You will weigh, dimension, and verify paperwork, while maintaining accurate documentation of shortages or damage. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, the ability to pass a background check and drug test, and preferred forklift certification and prior warehouse experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass a background check and an alcohol/drug test.
• Prefer prior experience as Forklift Operator, Dock or Warehouse Worker, or Material Handler.
• Forklift Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight onto and off equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers before loading freight.
• Use forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move freight.
• Weigh and dimension shipments to ensure proper classification and safe handling.
• Plan cube utilization and weight distribution when loading.
• Count and inspect freight for shortages or damage; document findings.
