Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking an Outbound Dock Supervisor to oversee dock operations and supervise dock associates in the dock and yard. You will coordinate shipment routing, loading/unloading, and ensure P&D units close on time while honoring special customer requests.

You will drive loss prevention initiatives, plan warehouse layout, and assign duties with a focus on accuracy, safety, and policy compliance. Second shift and leadership accountability are core to this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of dock or leadership experience or completion of Southwestern’s Management Training Program.
• Shift: Second Shift.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dock operations and supervise dock associates assigned to dock/yard.
• Coordinate routing of shipments and loading/unloading of freight.
• Ensure P&D units close at agreed times and special customer requests are handled on time.
• Maintain control to ensure inbound close-out and timeliness.
• Oversee loss prevention plans in the service center and use process improvement for development and execution.
• Plan warehouse layout considering turnover, size, and weight of items stored.
• Determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow.
• Assign duties and inspect work for accuracy and policy conformance.
• Monitor risks and implement adequate controls.
