Job summary

Parts Town is seeking a Director of Outbound Distribution to lead our Fulfillment Center operations, focusing on systems, automation, people, and processes as we scale. You will oversee order processing, picking, packing, assembly, loading, and freight shipping, while driving safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.

Applicants should have 7+ years in high-volume DCs and 4+ years in a managerial role, with a degree in Operations/Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in high-volume Distribution Center operations (automation a plus).
• 4+ years in a manager or higher role in operations, industrial engineering or supply chain.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead outbound fulfillment team and processes for high-volume same-day shipping.
• Plan and monitor daily performance; adjust to ensure orders ship with high quality.
• Manage OSHA standards, DOT regulations, and other compliance requirements.
• Provide cross-training and skill development to managers, supervisors, and hourly staff.
• Lead automated distribution process improvements and optimization initiatives.
• Coordinate with HR on training resources and onboarding for staff.
