Job summary

International Paper in Selma, AL seeks an Annual Outage Coordinator to lead safety-focused outage planning and coordinate all outage activities. You will drive readiness checks, develop detailed schedules, and facilitate cross-functional alignment.

The role requires 5-10 years in manufacturing, supervisory experience, and outage/maintenance planning expertise. A strong focus on LOTO, PMT, and continuous improvement through post-outage reviews is essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering or related field, or comparable work experience.
• 5-10 years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably in mechanical or electrical maintenance and/or paper industry operations.
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
• Outage coordinator or maintenance planner experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible and active leadership in delivering excellent safety results.
• Coordinate and lead planning of the Annual Outage and conduct meetings to build the outage plan.
• Create detailed, resource-loaded task level schedules.
• Verify readiness of scopes, parts, permits, and documentation before outage.
• Ensure schedules include LOTO, Pre-Job Briefings, and PMT.
• Lead cross-department meetings to manage constraints and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Analyze post-outage data and drive continuous reliability improvements.
• Support GMTI training to build a skilled team and create SOPs and training materials.
• Coordinate maintenance and outages to optimize mill and area reliability.
• Serve as contractor coordinator and support capital project development.
• Fulfill weekend duty for the Maintenance department.
