Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. in Carson, CA, is seeking an OTR Class A Dry Van Driver to join our safety-conscious team. The route runs from Carson, CA to Kimball, NE and averages about 3,000 miles per week.

This role pays $80-$110K annually, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus, and bi-weekly home time. Compensation includes hourly wages for on-duty time and mileage pay, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• Hazmat endorsement required.
• Tanker endorsement required.
• Ability to effectively use mobile apps and company software.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety and follow safe work practices at all times.
• Operate tractor-trailer units and other vehicles.
• Adhere to weights and ensure proper unit utilization.
• Load/unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste; secure loads.
• Placard vehicle in accordance with DOT requirements/regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units and other vehicles
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
