Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking Line Haul Extraboard Drivers to move freight between Estes Service Centers across the network. The role emphasizes safety and FMCSA compliance, with opportunities for advancement and competitive pay and benefits.

Drivers must pass pre-employment checks, maintain records, and operate in varied terrain and schedules. This position involves long-haul routes and staying away from home for multiple days as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 21 years of age per FMCSA regulations with 1 year driving experience.
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center and/or work assignment.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
• Able to drive a tractor trailer meeting FMCSA requirements.
• Stable employment history preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer safely to transport freight in accordance with FMCSA and company policies.
• Adhere to FMCSA rules and company safety standards.
• Maintain required records and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Inspect vehicle pre-trip and post-trip and report maintenance issues.
• Possibly handle hazardous materials legally and safely.
• Interact professionally with customers and fellow team members.
• Be flexible with schedules and work the dock as needed.
