Pomp's Tire Service in Eugene, OR is seeking an OTR Tire Service Technician to repair, inspect, and maintain heavy-duty tires for customers on site. This role emphasizes safe operation of service vehicles, on-site tire installations, and adherence to all safety procedures under varying weather conditions.

Ideal candidates will have a valid driver's license, a high school diploma, and experience with OTR or heavy-duty tires, with willingness to work nights, overtime, and non-standard hours.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment driver’s file.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with OTR, heavy-duty, or commercial tires.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly, up to 250 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company service vehicles for tire inspection and roadside service.
• Perform on-site tire installations and repairs for OTR and large equipment.
• Ensure safe operation of vehicles and compliance with traffic regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and proper care of tools.
• Work independently in all weather conditions to provide reliable roadside tire service.
• Participate in training and adhere to safety procedures and company policies.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned to support team operations.

What You'll Do:

• Safely operate company service vehicles to rack and hoist vehicles for inspection
• Perform on-site tire installations and repairs to OTR (over the road) and/or large equipment vehicles at customer locations
• Ensure the safe operation of company vehicles while adhering to all speed and traffic regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and properly care for tools and equipment
• Work independently in all weather conditions to provide reliable roadside tire service
• Participate in ongoing training and adhere to safety procedures, job duties, and company policies
• Complete additional tasks as assigned to support team operations

What You Need:

• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass pre-employment driver's file
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Willingness to work night shifts, overtime, and non-standard hours with minimal supervision
• Previous experience working with OTR, heavy-duty, or commercial tires
• Capability to safely change and repair commercial tires in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 75 pounds regularly, and up to 250 pounds occasionally with or without mechanical assistance
