Job summary

Altom Transport is seeking dedicated Over-the-Road CDL A tanker drivers to transport liquid bulk nationwide. This role involves extended time on the road, typically 7+ consecutive days, with home time planned based on operations and driver preferences.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsement; must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years verifiable tanker experience in the last 5 years.
• Age 23 or older; clean MVR and strong safety record.
• Pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check; able to handle flexible 24/7 schedules.
• Must hold current X endorsement; in-person new hire training; quarterly safety meetings.

Responsibilities

• Long-haul driving across regions delivering bulk liquid materials.
• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and Safety policies.
• Safely load/unload tanker with hoses, pumps and safety protocols.
• Maintain trip logs, inspections, and incident records for compliance.
• Coordinate with dispatch and customers to manage deliveries and schedules.
• Adhere to all regulations for hazardous materials.
• Maintain consistent mileage/workload to maximize earnings.
