Job summary

San Bruno Skilled Nursing in San Bruno, CA is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OTR) to join our rehabilitation team. We offer full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities to help residents regain independence and improve function under physician orders.

The successful candidate will evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with nursing and therapy staff while documenting progress to support high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current California OTR license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Skilled nursing or post-acute care experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans to improve functional independence.
• Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, physicians, families, and team members.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services under physician orders.
• Document progress and adjust plans to maximize safety and quality of life.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning.
