Job summary

PepsiCo in Topeka, KS is seeking a full-time Truck Driver to deliver snacks to local stores. You will complete paid training and work toward CDL program with company support.

The role involves operating tractor-trailer after training, loading/unloading, completing delivery paperwork, and following safety procedures; schedule 48–52 hours weekly, with busiest days Fri/Sun.

Qualifications

• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Able to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Able to sit for extended periods of time, up to five hours daily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• After obtaining your CDL, you have the ability to work up to 14 hours a day and drive a tractor trailer for extended periods of time, up to 11 hours per day, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Complete paid driver training designed for candidates with little to no Class-A CDL operating experience.
• Work toward successful completion of a Truck Driving CDL program, with Frito-Lay covering some or all eligible training costs.
• Safely operate a tractor/trailer after training and transport products to and from Frito-Lay facilities, grocery stores, rural storage units, vendor locations, backhaul locations, and other traffic centers.
• Load and unload trailers using manual methods, palletized loading/unloading, four-wheeled carts, or a two-wheeler as needed.
• Complete delivery paperwork, logs, invoices, manifests, proof of receipt, returns, and pre- and post-trip truck inspections.
