Job summary

PepsiCo in Beloit, WI, seeks an experienced truck driver to safely operate a tractor/trailer and deliver snacks to local stores. You will manage loads, post-trip duties, and maintain compliance with FMCSA regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Class A CDL driving license.
• 100,000+ verifiable accident-free miles or 2,500+ accident-free hours.
• Willing to work holidays and weekends.

• Ability to drive tractor-trailer up to 11 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor/trailer and deliver to stores per FMCSA rules.
• Load/unload trailers; perform manual/palletized loading as needed.
• Transport chips and other products to grocery stores and facilities.
• Obtain signatures, process logs, and review invoices/manifests.
• Use electronic logging device and conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with customers, drivers, and dispatch throughout shifts.

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years or older
• Possess a valid Class “A” commercial driver’s license
• Have at least 100,000 verifiable accident-free miles or more than 2,500 accident-free hours
• Willing to work holidays and weekends
• Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to five hours daily, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work up to 14 hours a day and drive a tractor trailer for extended periods of time, up to 11 hours per day, with or without a reasonable accommodation

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate a tractor/trailer and transport products to and from specified destinations in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Load and unload trailers, which may include manual loading, palletized loading/unloading, use of a two-wheeler, and lifting product overhead
• Transport chips, dips, and more to large grocery stores, Frito-Lay manufacturing facilities, rural storage units, and other traffic centers
• Obtain signatures of receipt, pick up returns, complete logs and paperwork related to deliveries, and review invoices and/or manifests
• Use an electronic logging device, such as a tablet or onboard computer, and complete pre- and post-trip truck inspections
• Communicate with customers, sales drivers, and dispatch throughout the day or night
