Job summary

PepsiCo in Massillon, OH is hiring a full-time CDL-A driver to deliver products to local stores and maintain shelves. You’ll operate tractor trailers, perform lifting and loading tasks, and comply with FMCSA regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older
• Possess a valid Class “A” commercial driver’s license
• Have substantial verifiable driving miles with accident-free record
• Willing to work holidays and weekends
• Able to lift 15–50 pounds with or without accommodations
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods
• Able to lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without accommodations
• Able to sit for extended periods up to five hours daily
• Able to drive tractor trailer for extended periods up to 11 hours/day

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor/trailer and transport products following FMCSA regulations
• Load and unload trailers with manual or palletized loading
• Transport chips, dips, and more to grocery stores and manufacturing facilities
• Obtain signatures, manage receipts, and review invoices/manifests
• Use an electronic logging device and complete pre/post-trip inspections
• Communicate with customers, sales drivers, and dispatch throughout shifts

• Schedule: 50 hrs week, variable - variable

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years or older
• Possess a valid Class “A” commercial driver’s license
• Have at least 100,000 verifiable accident-free miles or more than 2,500 accident-free hours
• Willing to work holidays and weekends
• Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to five hours daily, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work up to 14 hours a day and drive a tractor trailer for extended periods of time, up to 11 hours per day, with or without a reasonable accommodation

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate a tractor/trailer and transport products to and from specified destinations in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Load and unload trailers, which may include manual loading, palletized loading/unloading, use of a two-wheeler, and lifting product overhead
• Transport chips, dips, and more to large grocery stores, Frito-Lay manufacturing facilities, rural storage units, and other traffic centers
• Obtain signatures of receipt, pick up returns, complete logs and paperwork related to deliveries, and review invoices and/or manifests
• Use an electronic logging device, such as a tablet or onboard computer, and complete pre- and post-trip truck inspections
• Communicate with customers, sales drivers, and dispatch throughout the day or night
