Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join our safety-conscious team in the Braintree, MA area. This route runs from Braintree, MA to El Dorado, AR, averaging 3,000 miles per week with two weeks out at a time.

The role offers an average annual earnings of $200k–$250k, with compensation comprised of on-duty time paid via hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• Ability to effectively use mobile apps and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority and follows safe work practices.
• Operates tractor-trailer units.
• Adheres to weight limits and properly utilizes the units.
• Loads and unloads hazardous/non-hazardous waste and secures loads.
• Places placards per DOT requirements/regulations.
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Minium 12 months of Class A driving experience
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
