Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Company-Driver to ensure on-time delivery of freight between Distribution Centers, stores, and vendors. The role includes hauling and unloading multi-stop freight, returning rolltainers to the Distribution Center, and safely operating the vehicle on interstate and intrastate routes.

Candidates should have a valid Class A CDL, at least six months of tractor/trailer experience, and knowledge of DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL (CDL) required.
• Six months tractor/trailer driving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Meet all medical and safety standards as required by DOT.

Responsibilities

• Transport store-delivery freight and store returns / backhauls over-the-road.
• Unload and reload freight and rolltainers at each delivery.
• Safely secure freight and rolltainers; provide professional customer service to store teams and vendors.
• Complete paperwork and maintain records per state and federal laws.
• Ensure vehicle operation complies with all laws and regulations.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid Class A CDL (CDL)

Six months tractor/trailer driving experience
