Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an over‑the‑road Company Driver to deliver freight between Dollar General Distribution Centers, stores, and vendors. You will unload and reload freight at each stop and return rolltainers to the Distribution Center, while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, at least six months of tractor/trailer experience, and knowledge of DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Six months tractor/trailer driving experience.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Transport store-delivery freight and returns over-the-road in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
• Unload and reload freight and rolltainers at each delivery point.
• Provide professional customer service to store teams and vendors.
• Complete paperwork and maintain records per state and federal regulations.
• Ensure vehicle operation complies with all laws and regulations.
