Job summary

Clayton Homes (New) is seeking an experienced CDL A driver for OTR work based in Morristown, TN. Responsibilities include logs, IFTA, load docs, and coordinating with customers and sales reps to ensure timely, accurate load movements.

The role requires a clean MVR, basic mechanical and computer skills, and a HS diploma or GED. Benefits include health/dental/vision, 401K match, and paid parental leave.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required and valid license.
• 3+ years professional driving experience, including mountain driving.
• Excellent driving record with no DUI/violations in past 3 years.
• Prior customer service experience and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Completes and maintains daily truck log and reports expenses.
• Performs IFTA reports and ensures compliance with FMCSA/USDOT rules.
• Secures customer signatures on shipping documents and load sheets.
• Operates dispatch computer, tracks loads and fuel usage.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and safe operating condition.
• Performs basic vehicle maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
• Loads/unloads shipments and coordinates movements with authorities and customers.
• Adheres to routes, weight restrictions and curfew requirements for oversize loads.
• Performs daily pre-trip inspections and safety checks.
• Acts as Clayton ambassador, providing professional service to customers.
