Job summary

Clean Harbors in Dolton, IL is seeking an OTR Class A CDL Driver (Home Weekends) to operate a variety of commercial vehicles including dry van trailers, roll-off, vacuum and tanker trucks. The role involves driving on hazardous waste cleanup sites and performing related non-driving duties.

This position requires attending an out-of-state Academy training. Training is paid, expenses covered, and weekends at home are provided when possible. Health benefits follow after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Complete any required background checks and medicals as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety in all work practices.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers.
• Drive a variety of Class A trucks.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Manual labor on site to meet customer needs.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets and reports.
• Follow DOT and company safety guidelines.
• Operate vehicles safely per regulations.
• Observe company safety and environmental guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be on call for emergency response on rotating basis.
• Assist with site remediation and handling of hazardous materials.
