Job summary

Clean Harbors in Dolton, IL is seeking a Class A CDL Equipment Operator to operate a variety of trucks and equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks and roll offs, for hazardous waste cleanup. You’ll drive on-site and off-site and support remediation efforts while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires obtaining Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days, and offers a Monday–Friday schedule with long days and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days.
• Ability to use various mobile devices as part of operations.
• Pass background check, drug test and medical evaluation.
• Compliance with OSHA facial hair standards when respirators are used.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A trucks and assist field laborers in a team environment.
• Load/unload, placard, and secure materials per DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and related reports.
• Respond to emergency clean-up scenarios and on-call incidents.
• Support site remediation and hazardous material handling as needed.
