Denning Companies in Chancellor, South Dakota is seeking experienced CDL Class A Truck Drivers to join our asset-based trucking operation, Silver Creek Carriers. This family- and veteran-owned company values safe driving, dependable service, and treating drivers with respect.

We offer competitive mileage pay, modern Peterbilt 389 equipment, and opportunities for overtime with home time to be confirmed. Home time varies by route but drivers stay connected with dispatch.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Minimum 2 years of professional truck driving experience.
• Clean driving record and ability to meet driver qualifications.
• Willingness to travel over the road and remain away from home for extended periods.
• Ability to meet DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport freight while meeting scheduled pickup and delivery requirements.
• Plan routes and manage driving time in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Monitor equipment condition and maintain a clean, safe truck.
• Secure, tarp, and untarp loads as required.
• Oversee loading and unloading activities when applicable.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and required documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, deliveries, delays, and equipment needs.
• Follow company safety procedures and federal transportation regulations.
