Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience.
• Clean driving record and ability to meet driver qualifications.
• Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation, route planning, and HOS regulations.
• Willingness to travel over the road and stay away from home.
• Ability to safely secure freight and perform tarping as needed.
• Dependable work ethic with strong communication and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport freight while meeting pickup and delivery schedules.
• Plan routes and manage driving time per DOT regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance issues.
• Monitor equipment condition and keep truck clean and safe.
• Secure, tarp, and untarp loads as required.
• Oversee loading/unloading when applicable and maintain delivery records.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and equipment needs.
• Follow company safety procedures and federal transportation regulations.

Compensation & Benefits

• Potential annual earnings: $65,000–$120,000, depending on miles driven and additional compensation
• $0.50–$0.55 per mile — paid on actual odometer miles
• Additional pay opportunities, including detention, breakdown, layover, extra stops, loading/unloading, and tarping

Equipment & Schedule

What You'll Do

• Safely transport freight while meeting scheduled pickup and delivery requirements.
• Plan routes and manage driving time in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Monitor equipment condition and maintain a clean, safe truck.
• Secure, tarp, and untarp loads as required.
• Oversee loading and unloading activities when applicable.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and required documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, deliveries, delays, and equipment needs.
• Follow company safety procedures and federal transportation regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum of 2 years of professional truck driving experience.
• Clean driving record and ability to meet applicable driver qualification requirements.
• Ability to meet DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation, route planning, and hours-of-service regulations.
• Willingness to travel over the road and remain away from home for extended periods.
• Ability to safely secure freight and perform tarping duties when required.
• Dependable work ethic, strong communication skills, and commitment to safety.
