Job summary

McLane in Shelby, Ohio is seeking CDL-A Delivery Drivers for a lease-purchase program. You will inspect tractors, load and deliver to customer sites, and maintain DOT-compliant logs while ensuring on-time, accurate deliveries.

The role offers strong earnings ($75,000–$100,000 annually) from day one, comprehensive benefits, 401(k) after 90 days, and various additional programs. Ideal candidates are at least 21, with a valid CDL-A and 1 year of driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform tasks and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Inspect bill of lading and access keys for accuracy for deliveries.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destinations and comply with regulations.
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations and document receipts and temperatures.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLarens MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safe. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
