Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a physician to provide comprehensive medical services in both practice and hospital settings, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective care and participation in quality initiatives.

Responsibilities include performing history and physicals, coordinating patient care, educating patients and families, and collaborating with other professionals to optimize outcomes. Requires MD/DO and board eligibility/certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school
• Completion of residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty
• MD or DO – licensed by medical board; Board Certified/Eligible in specialty

Responsibilities

• Performs history and physical examination of all patients seen
• Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on best practice evidenced-based medicine
• Adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines approved by medical staff
• Demonstrates competency in assessment, treatment and communication appropriate to patient age
• Communicates regularly with referring physicians, patients and families
• Coordinates patient care and makes referrals to physicians, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, etc.
• Teaches wellness habits and educates patients on prevention of health problems
• Maintains knowledge of current medical practices and ensures confidentiality and safety
