Responsibilities

• Safety - Ensure patient safety by identifying the correct patient and any special needs, and prepare isolation precautions for patients with infectious disease indicators.
• Revenue Cycle Support - Ensure data, information and forms are obtained and accurately entered; discuss system errors or changes with management; resolve data and insurance coverage errors and trends.
• Customer Service - Assist patients, families, staff and external agencies with patient registration, admission and scheduling; resolve requests per CCHMC policies; coordinate with outside representatives as needed.
• Compliance - Complete and authenticate documents ensuring regulatory compliance; escalate concerns and offer resolutions to management.
• HIPAA/Confidentiality - Maintain confidentiality and protect patient/family information; coach on HIPAA concerns and escalations.
