Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Research Technician II in Otolaryngology. The role supports studies and experiments, handles data collection, sample processing, and tissue culture preparation in a biomedical lab setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• The ideal candidate will have up to one year of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Research experience with cell biology, immunology, or cancer biology is preferred.
• Experience with mouse work and/or patient samples is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with research studies, experiments and assays, including data collection and preparation of materials.
• Collects patient samples and analyses components within samples.
• Assists with mouse colony maintenance.
• Performs data entry and maintains data files for research.
• Prepares tissue cultures, reagents, sample tests, etc.
• Maintains safety procedures and documentation for laboratory and specimen conditions.
• Assists with general lab maintenance and cleaning.
