Job summary

General Motors (GM) seeks an experienced OTA Systems Lead to drive performance, triage, and root-cause analysis across the OTA program. You will oversee vehicle programming, integration, and issue resolution for development, test fleets, and production, partnering with ECU teams, verification programs, and deployment operations.

The role requires deep expertise in OTA engineering, log analysis, and CI/CD practices, with a hybrid work model (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) and emphasis on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Technical Lead or Principal Engineer.
• Experience: Software deployment and troubleshooting.
• OTA execution and troubleshooting.
• CAN log analysis and data acquisition.
• Jira, Git, CANalyzer proficiency.
• CI/CD and project management including Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub and Jira.
• C/C++, Python and MATLAB.
• CAN, LIN and Ethernet networks.
• ISO 14229, AUTOSAR basics, and SAE J1939.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for OTA System Performance and Triage.
• Lead OTA Vehicle Programming and Integration including early development and issue resolution.
• Coordinate triage and root-cause analysis of OTA performance issues.
• Collaborate with ECU DREs, OTA Deployment Operations, and OTA Subsystem teams.
• Support CGM/CAN log analysis and vehicle data acquisition.
• Develop OTA triage capability and training for the organization.
• Work with Engineering Group Leader on OTA initiatives.
