Job summary

General Motors is seeking an Over the Air Vehicle System Engineer (OTA VSE) to own the end-to-end OTA deployment strategy for launching programs. You will drive OTA content delivery to engineering development, preproduction, and production vehicles, while improving processes and accelerating capabilities across global vehicle programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in electrical, computer engineering, or related automotive field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in automotive or related industries.
• Strong SQL knowledge with relational databases and big data platforms.
• Working knowledge of OTA update and vehicle connectivity technologies.
• Analytical mindset with ability to identify and remove roadblocks.
• Proactive, results-driven, with strong initiative and accountability.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating across functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to summarize project status clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute OTA Readiness Plan for vehicle launches and OTA capabilities.
• Understand project timelines and rollout timing for vehicle programs.
• Design payloads/campaigns to deliver VeSCoM and monitor performance.
• Create dashboards by optimizing SQL queries in relational and big data platforms.
• Drive resolution of issues requiring cross-functional coordination.
• Own OTA deployment method end-to-end with SW VSE, SIT, PQE, PEMs.
• Lead multi-functional efforts across Product Development and Aftersales to deliver updates.
