Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Software Integration Quality Engineer to ensure reliable OTA software delivery across GM vehicles. You will work with sub-system benches, develop test plans, and prepare automation scripts to support end-to-end software updates.

The role requires strong QA experience, knowledge of CAN/Ethernet data protocols, and the ability to coordinate with design, suppliers, and back-office teams. Hybrid work model with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience within software quality.
• Understanding of automotive serial data protocols (CAN, Ethernet, etc).
• Ability to manage multiple project assignments and switch between tasks as timing and resources dictate.
• Software QA, triage, and log analysis.
• Possess a valid driver's license and the ability to operate test vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Develop & Execute test plans and procedures on sub-system benches.
• Author automation test scripts.
• Build, maintain and manage test environments (Benches) for manual and automated runs.
• Triage system level nonconformities by analyzing data logs and assign to the correct module.
• Document all anomalies using company issue tracking tools.
• Follow issue resolution from origination through verification, closure, and monitoring.
