Job summary

Hireology in Texas seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team. You will plan and deliver occupational therapy services to residents in a SNF setting under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, ensuring care plans are followed.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas OTA license and COTA credential, with knowledge of OT treatments, strong communication, and experience in long-term care. Net Health EDS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
