Job summary

Hireology in Texas seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team. You will deliver person-centered OT services under the supervision of an OT, plan and administer treatments, document thoroughly, and collaborate with residents, families, and staff to promote independence.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas OTA license and a COTA credential, with SNF or long-term care experience preferred, and familiarity with Net Health EDS.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents with disabilities to relieve pain and restore function.
• Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an OT and per physician orders.
• Respond to service requests by relaying information and referrals to the OT.
• Ensure treatments align with the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely per policy and regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
