Job summary

Hireology is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team. You will plan and administer OT treatments to residents, under the supervision of a licensed OT, to promote independence and quality of life.

The role emphasizes strong communication with patients, families, and care teams, with experience in SNF or long-term care preferred. In-house rehab, competitive benefits, and flexible scheduling await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OT treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer OT treatments to residents and patients to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide OT services under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Respond to service requests and relay information to the OT.
• Ensure treatments align with the plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients and families.
• Monitor patient response and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation in accordance with policy and regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.
