Job summary

Total Care Therapy in Cincinnati is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our therapist-owned team, working with a licensed OT to provide patient-centered care in assisted living and independent living communities.

You will help residents improve mobility, independence, and quality of life through targeted therapies, ADLs/IADLs training, and safety education, while documenting progress in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Current State OTA license required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and auto insurance.
• Experience in geriatrics/home health/assisted living preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide OTA services under supervision to improve mobility and independence.
• Implement activities to enhance ADLs, IADLs, strength, balance, and cognition.
• Document progress using EMR and communicate changes to supervising OT.
• Educate residents and caregivers on safety, equipment and fall prevention.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain a full clinical caseload with compassionate care.
