Job summary

Total Care Therapy in Cincinnati is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a part-time role in assisted living and independent living communities. You will evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans to enhance independence in daily living activities and cognition.

The position emphasizes geriatric care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and flexibility in scheduling Monday–Friday with weekends available but not required.

Qualifications

• Current State Occupational Therapist (OT) License.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and establish individualized occupational therapy plans of care.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to improve ADLs, IADLs, upper extremity function, cognition, balance, coordination, and functional independence.
• Assess and recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Reassess patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Supervise COTAs in accordance with state regulations.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using EMR.
• Educate residents, caregivers, and facility staff on adaptive techniques, home safety, fall prevention, and energy conservation strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
