Job summary

Creative Solutions In HealthCare is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team in a full-time or PRN capacity. The OTA will deliver person-centered care to help residents improve independence and quality of life and work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering OT treatments, communicating with the care team, and ensuring documentation complies with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an OT according to physician orders.
• Respond to service requests and relay information to the OT.
• Ensure treatments align with the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response and report changes to the OT.
• Complete documentation per policy and regulations.
• Attend required rehab department meetings.
