Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a skilled OT Systems Engineer to implement and support backend infrastructure for our industrial software platforms. The role blends OT/IT expertise and requires balancing legacy systems with modernization across multiple sites.

The candidate will design OT environments, deploy controls software and HMIs, and advance automation, testing, and change control processes in a high-stakes setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in OT systems engineering or industrial control systems administration.
• Hands-on experience with multiple industry-standard controls software platforms and tools.
• Significant experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting OT environments in high-reliability settings.
• Experience in real-time/OT environments in aerospace, defense, energy, or similar industries is a plus.
• Experience designing architectures with hyperconverged, rugged edge, and distributed compute tech.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols, OT cybersecurity best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and augment next-generation OT environments across sites.
• Install, configure, maintain, and support standard controls software and HMIs.
• Integrate IT technologies to improve security and scalability of plant environments.
• Deploy and maintain development, test, and staging environments for controlled changes.
• Provide direct support during launch, test, and production campaigns.
• Perform system upgrades and maintenance outside critical operations.
• Proactively monitor services and respond to incidents to maintain high availability.
• Leverage automation tools and IaC in DevOps initiatives for ICs environments.
• Collaborate with controls engineers to improve test coverage and change control.
• Write and maintain standards and documentation for secure industrial environments.
• Collaborate with IT/security/ops and external customers to design robust OT architectures.
• Ensure OT systems comply with Purdue Model, IEC 62443.
