Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is hiring an System Application Administrator I to support OT systems across renewable energy operations. You will perform monitored, controlled maintenance and access-support tasks under supervision, including basic VM activity and endpoint tasks.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in IT or related field, plus 1 year IT experience and 2 years OT exposure. This role emphasizes detailed documentation, compliance readiness, and teamwork within IT/Digital.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent practical experience in IT or related field.
• Entry-level certifications in systems administration or cybersecurity preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of IT experience and 2 years of OT experience.
• Ability to follow documented procedures precisely in compliance environments.
• Familiarity with Windows systems, virtualization, Active Directory, and asset records.
• Strong written and verbal communication with careful documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system health and uptime across OT environments and escalate as needed.
• Provide entry-level hardware and endpoint support under supervision.
• Run maintenance checklists for backups, logs, and scheduled jobs.
• Support user provisioning, password resets, and approved software on endpoints.
• Update asset records with hardware changes, names, locations, and warranties.
• Assist with basic VM activities; clone templates and controlled reboots.
• Help prepare for patching and test deployment scripts in sandbox environments.
• Shadow compliance walkthroughs to support NERC CIP readiness.
• Follow SOPs for backups, log checks, and access provisioning; escalate when needed.
