Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a System Application Administrator I to support reliability, availability, security, and compliance of OT systems across renewable energy operations. The role works under direct supervision performing monitoring, maintenance, documentation, and endpoint tasks per established procedures.

Based in the United States, the position is full-time and exempt, with travel to field and office locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Entry-level IT certifications related to systems administration or cybersecurity preferred.
• Minimum 1 year IT experience and 2 years OT experience.
• Ability to follow documented procedures in compliance-sensitive environments.
• Basic familiarity with Windows, AD, virtualization, and asset records.

Responsibilities

• Monitor OT system health and uptime; escalate as needed.
• Perform entry-level hardware and endpoint support under supervision.
• Run backups, validate logs, and perform routine health checks.
• Handle Tier 1 requests like password resets and software installs.
• Update asset records and configurations with changes.
• Assist with basic VM activities including cloning and startup/shutdown.
• Prepare for patching by staging updates in non-production.
• Shadow seniors on field activities like rack installation and cable management.
