Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an OT Security Engineer to join Information Security and safeguard OT networks across launches, vehicles, tests and production. You will design security architectures, write software for OT environments, and automate on-prem networking to protect critical systems.

The role requires hands-on security software and network engineering, collaboration with engineering and site teams, and the ability to work extended hours on-site as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or STEM or 2+ years of security software development experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Python, Go, C#, C/C++, or Rust.
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or large-scale enterprise infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate security for OT networks supporting launch, vehicle, test, and production.
• Design network and security architectures and produce diagrams and design documentation.
• Write and deploy software that runs in OT and on-prem environments.
• Automate on-prem and data center networking.
• Implement network segmentation and access control in OT environments.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to security issues on OT networks.
• Partner with engineering, IT, and site teams.
• Document architectures, standards, and operating procedures.
