Job summary

SpaceX in Texas is seeking a Security Engineer (OT) to join Information Security and help protect the SpaceX mission. The role focuses on securing OT networks for launch, vehicle, test, and production, plus writing software and automating on‑prem networks.

You will design architectures, implement security solutions, and collaborate with engineering, IT, and site teams while working hands‑on in security software and network engineering on OT environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or STEM; or 2+ years in security software development in lieu of degree.
• Experience with Python, Go, C#, C/C++, or Rust.
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate security for OT networks supporting launch, vehicle, test, and production.
• Design network and security architectures and produce diagrams and design documentation.
• Write and deploy software that runs in OT and on-prem network environments.
• Automate on-prem and data center networking.
• Implement network segmentation and access control in OT environments.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to security issues on OT networks.
• Partner with engineering, IT, and site teams.
• Document architectures, standards, and operating procedures.
