Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Security Engineer (OT) to join Information Security and protect OT networks across launch, vehicle, test, and production environments. You will write software, automate on-prem and data center networking, and develop architectures to secure critical systems.

This hands-on role requires designing security around operating systems and large-scale infrastructure, plus collaboration with engineering and site teams to implement segmentation and access controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or another STEM discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Python, Go, C#, C/C++, or Rust.
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise / large-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate security for OT networks supporting launch, vehicle, test, and production.
• Design network and security architectures and produce diagrams and design documentation.
• Write and deploy software that runs in OT and on-prem network environments.
• Automate on-prem and data center networking.
• Implement network segmentation and access control in OT environments.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to security issues on OT networks.
• Partner with engineering, IT, and site teams.
• Document architectures, standards, and operating procedures.
