Job summary

RWE Americas is seeking an experienced Security Architecture Engineer II to own the OT security architecture and platform stack protecting 160+ energy sites across 27 states. You will define reference architectures, integrate OT logs to enterprise monitoring, and drive secure baselines for new projects.

The role requires 5+ years in cybersecurity or OT/ICS spaces, with leadership skills to mentor juniors and coordinate with the SOC. Office-based with travel to field locations in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related fields or equivalent proven track record.
• Minimum 5 years in cybersecurity, network engineering, or control systems engineering with 3+ years OT/ICS/SCADA focus.
• Ability to work independently within defined processes and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Own OT security toolset architecture, asset visibility, access control, monitoring and SIEM, vulnerability management and endpoint protection.
• Define reference architectures, secure baselines, and lifecycle management for OT platforms across the fleet.
• Onboard OT logs into enterprise monitoring, develop OT-specific detection content, and coordinate with SOC.
• Perform OT risk assessments using MITRE ATT&CK for ICs and manage vulnerability remediation with plant teams.
• Lead security incident investigations, threat hunting, and create containment plans respecting safety.
• Define least-privilege roles, MFA where feasible, and secure remote access for engineers and vendors.
• Embed OT security requirements into projects, acquisitions, and vendor contracts.
• Partner with OT operations, asset management, project engineering, and SOC to drive security across maintenance windows.
