Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) in East River, Connecticut. This role provides flexible scheduling while you deliver high-quality therapy services. Responsibilities include performing evaluations, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with medical staff.

Applicants must be licensed Occupational Therapists with good communication and clinical reasoning skills. Opportunities to work in both short-term rehab and long-term care settings are available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Occupational Therapist license.
• Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills are vital.
• Skilled nursing experience is preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide treatment focused on ADLs, upper extremity function, cognition, coordination, balance, and safety awareness.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and therapeutic strategies to maximize resident independence.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy staff, physicians, and families to support resident goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
