Job summary

ARMStaffing in Akron, OH is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation unit on a 13-week contract. Day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

You will plan, organize, and supervise OT treatments in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, participate in discharge planning, and maintain documentation per policy.

Requirements include a valid state OT license, BLS, and a minimum of two years of OT experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid, current State license for Occupational Therapy.
• BLS certification required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' levels of functioning upon physician orders and implement appropriate treatment plans based on assessment findings.
• Participate actively in discharge planning, including patient and family education regarding adaptive equipment.
• Complete documentation according to departmental policies and procedures.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and OT/COTA students, ensuring competence in their practice.
• Promote a culture of safety, following established guidelines for safe patient handling, materials management, and workplace safety.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and embrace the company’s core values.
• Effectively communicate with patients and families to enhance understanding and compliance with treatment plans.

Job Description
