Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Akron, OH is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for PRN/Per Diem/As Needed assignments. The role focuses on delivering skilled OT services to chronically ill patients and contributing to discharge planning and adaptive equipment decisions.

You will provide individualized therapy regimens, monitor patient responses, and participate in ongoing education seminars. Candidate must hold current state OT licensure and BLS certification or complete within 90 days;

• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment
• Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs), OT and COTA students
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatment
• Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services
